WWE Pay Per View Events

SummerSlam (2010) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), that took place on August 15, 2010 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California for the second consecutive year.[2][3] It was the 23rd annual SummerSlam event and six matches took place.[4]
As first revealed by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, eight SmackDown Superstars will compete for a contract giving the bearer the right to challenge SmackDown’s World Heavyweight Champion at any time, at any place, for up to one year.

To earn the tremendous opportunity, a Superstar must climb the ladder and obtain the briefcase holding the coveted championship contract within.

The following SmackDown Superstars are scheduled to compete: Former World Champion Big Show, Matt Hardy and Christian, two veterans when it comes to Ladder Matches, high-flying Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston, second-generation Superstar Cody Rhodes and the diabolical Kane.
