How to get satellite reception back to normal.

As mentioned before, 0% satellite reception means, normally, there is an actual cut in the cable. If you find such cut, you have to redo this connection again. For this, you need, a pair of cutters, utility knife, a pair of coaxial ends and one f81 connector. The following diagram shows step by step how to put a coaxial connector in a cable.
On the right hand side, you will see a female to female connector. We call it F81 or inline connector. This connector allows you to connect the two coaxial cables. Make sure after you join them to use electrical tape to protect connection. After this, satellite reception should be back to normal. It is highly recommended to use electrical tape to avoids any moist or rust going inside the
cable.
You can also use shrink tape.
If the reception is not recovered, your dish might be loose. In fact, it could also means there is an impaired line of sight (like a tree or branching obstructing the view.) There are cases in which strong winds or animals touching the dish produces intermittent signal reception.
Last and not least, if both of these are fine, then, the only thing left to check is the dish
LNB
. It could be defective. Thus, you need to replace it. The only way to its functionality is by taking it to your local satellite provider company. Thus, they can test it for you. If you got noone to help, you have to buy one and try it at home.
