How to get back your missing channels
No problem. Not as hard as it you think it is.

The most common reasons in missing channels are cable spices, bad connections and defective lnbs. Lot of people don't realize that: splitters CANNOT be used in between the cable communicating the dish to the receiver. If you do, it will work for a while. Then, it will start dropping channels. If you have a splitter, get a joiner to connect both lines.

If no splitters found, then a defective LNB is the most probable cause in losing channels. Its hard to physically check whether an LNB is defective or not. The only way you can verify this is by actually replacing it with another one. But, before you do that, you should check if this LNB has an extra port in it. If it does, connect to it. Sometimes, a single port can turns out to be defective.

And as we repeated again, if this does not help, you have to try the other troubleshooting techniques such as checking cable, connectors, signal reception and receiver.
