Are Video switches need it at all? Well, it could happen to you of not having enough connections in the back of your TV to connect the rest of your home video stuff. What these switches will do for you is allow you to connect not one, not two but, three or more video components using a single RCA or video connection from the back of the TV.
Three Way Video Switches
As you can see, the picture above, this is an example of a three-way video-switch device. With this, you connect as follow: Input1 = VCR, Input2= DVD and Input3=Satellite. And the OUT, it goes in the back of your television set. For you to switch it, you have to switch it manually by using the toggle switch from left to right.
A three way RCA witch is the most popular. However, you can get four or more. Also, you can combine or cascade two to get more free connections. It's all up to you. Furthermore, there are not only RCA switches, but also, you can get component video switches. These switches are designed when you are combining HDTV Satellite signal with DVD with HDTV.
