Starchoice switches make life easy
if you are connecting multiple receivers at home.



There are three type of Starchoice switches in the market: 2x2 Multiswitch, 5x8 Multiswitch and 4x8 Multiswitch. Please realize for these switches to work, you must have either an Eliptical Twin or Dual Stack LNB or Eliptical Quad LNB non stack. Size, it could be either a 60cm or 75cm.

a. 2x2 Multiswitch. This Shaw direct switch works ONLY for Dual stack 60cm Eliptical Dish. With this multiswitch you can connect two receivers with it. Each input is connect to each Starchoice satellite. One is for Anik F1 (English standard channels) and Anik E2 (HDTV & International channels.)

b. 5x8 Multiswitch. This switch allows you to connect up to 8 Starchoice receivers. In order for this switch to work, you MUST connect to a Quad Eliptical 60cm Starchoice dish ONLY! In fact, you have to run 4 lines from dish to this switch. The fifth port is used to connect to an indoor or outdoor antenna for local channels.

c. 4x8 Multiswitch. This is the same as the 5x8 described above. It just likes the Arial input for local channels. For the money difference, 5x8 is the best for the money value. Our personal opinion.

Now, if you have a Quad LNB and want cable directly from the dish to run 4 receivers, all you need is to run a cable for each room. No Switches are required.
