Complete StarChoice Receivers LineUp
No matter if you're a new customer or existing customer, you have 4 different StarChoice Receivers to choose from: DSR207, DSR317, DSR505 and DSR530. The first two receivers are Non High Definition receivers. While the last two are HDTV receivers. Be aware, in order to have HDTV, you MUST have an elliptical dish. It comes in two sizes: 60cm and 75cm. Also, you have the option of either a
Dual Stack LNB
or
Quad LNB.
The last one is the latest one from Star Choice. Quad LNB allows you to connect up to four receivers with no additional switches. On the other side, the Dual Stack LNB connects only 2 receivers only.
StarChoice Receiver DSR207
This is the entry level for Star Choice receivers. Here are the main features for this unit:
a)On Screen Guide: allows you to watch a show while surfing either other channels or option menu on the receiver.
c)Full Digital picture Quality: Crystal clear picture. It provides up to 400 lines of resolution.
b)Stereo Sound Quality: it comes with a set of RCA preouts and coax out. Obviously, the RCA will deliver better sound quality.
d)On Screen Guide Menu: This receiver provides up to 48 hours of schedule to the shows will be available.
e)Universal Remote: It will controls TV, VCR, Satellite and DVD. All in one remote. Be aware, it works mainly for well known brand names.
StarChoice Receiver DSR317
This is the top of the line of receiver for non high definition receivers. The following are the main features on this receiver:
a)Front control bottons allows you to change channels at the receiver.
b)Phone Jack Connection lets you order instant PPV using your phone line.
c)Optical Output lets you listen TV in Dolby Digital Format.
d)coaxial SPIDIF and RCA baseband stereo connections.
e)You can watch a show while you are scrolling through other channels.
f)On-screen guide is faster than ever and includes easy-to-navigate colour coding for different genres and even large channel icons.
g)The DSR317 is future ready for one week or more detailed program listing information; searching by program; interactive services; and video mosaic channels.

StarChoice Receiver DSR505
The DSR505 receiver is your entry level in High Definition format. Be aware there are two type o DSR505. The DSR505A is a brand new receiver. While the DSR505 is a recondition receiver. Normally, you can only get the DSR505A by ordering directly from Star Choice. Otherwise, all dealers sell the recondition one. Same warranty: One Year Warranty. Here are the main features in this receiver:
a)Same features as DSR315.
b)HDTV format: You can enjoy High Definition by connecting to either component inputs or using DVI connection.
c)UHF Capability:It allows you to control your satellite receiver anywhere in the house. In otherwords, you can connect this receiver to multiple TVs and change channels ANYWHERE in the house. All TVs will be watching the same channel.
Please be aware to get HDTV, you MUST connect this receiver to either
component video
or
DVI
cable to the TV.
StarChoice Receiver DSR530
This is the Cadillac of all Star Choice Satellite HDTV Receivers. The following are the main features for this receiver:
a)Same features as DSR505.
b)Dual Tuner Receiver: It will allows you to watch and record another channel at the same time.
c)Big Size Hard Drive: It has a hard drive that records up to 180 hours of standard television or up to 25 hours in High Definition format.
