A signal combiner makes life easy
Connecting satellite and air channels
Into one single cable

A Signal combiner makes your life easier when you want connect both Satellite TV with local air Antenna channels. Instead of free air channels, you can use to cable.

Before you ask, let me answer the question for you. How about diplexers. The diplexers are, technically, the same. The difference is when you want to connect both signals to multiple television sets. How many diaplexers would you need to connect to four TVs? You need a total of eight diplexers. For inside the house and four outside. With the signal combiner, you need a splitter at the other ends.

As you can imagine, the more TVs you connect, the lower the signal quality you will get. Thus, it is recomended to connect an inline amplifer between the combiner and the multiple splitter. In this case, you don't get much signal lost. Check out the picture above, it shows how you connect all three together.

Please be aware of two things. First, it works for any satellite system. Secondly, the cable that goes CH3 is the satellite after has pass the receiver. In otherwords, the connection goes as follow: Satellite dish -> Receiver in -> Receiver TV Out -> CH3 on the combiner. You cannot have the receiver in between the combiner and the TV. It has to go between the Satellite Dish and the combiner.
