As you can see from the diagram above, if you want to perform a Multiroom Receivers Install, you MUST run an individual cable from each room to the dish. In the example above, we have four rooms with four different recievers. Thus, four lines are required to get this system up and running. In otherwords, a line for each receiver MUST be connected to the dish.
If you're wiring the rooms using a
Star Choice
eliptical dish, 4 lines are run directly from dish to each room. Same application is done for either
BEV
or
Dish network
if and only if you are using a
Quad style LNB.
If you have a
regular dual LNB,
then, you have to connect a
4 way multiswitch.
If you are wiring a
Directv
system, same thing is applied. The latest one
Triple DSS LNB
has four outputs. Thus, direct lines are used. If you have only a dual
LNB,
you will need a
DirecTV multiswitch.
This multiswitch will be connected between the Dish and receivers at home. If it has a power supply, the switch must be connected inside. If not, outside, will work perfectly fine.
