Multiswitches are designed to connect either multiple receivers and multiple dishes. The following is a brief introduction of the most popular Multiswitches used for
Bell ExpressVu,
Star Choice,
Directv,
FTA Systems and
Dishnetwork.
Bell Express Vu Switches
* Bell ExpressVu has basically three popular switches in the market:
a)SW21. This switch allows you to combine Nimiq 91W and Nimiq 82W.
b)4 Way Multiswitch: This switch allows the user to connect four receivers to one either Nimiq 91W or Nimiq82W.
c)SW44 Switch: This switch combines both BEV satellites into four receivers.
Star Choice Switches
* Star Choice has three switches in the market:
a)2x2 Multiswitch: This switch combines both Anik F1 and Anik E2 satellites into two outputs.
b)5x8 Multiswitch: This switch combines both Star Choice Satellites into eight outputs. You can also combine Air TV channels.
c)4x8 Multiswitch: Same as 5x8. However, you cannot connect Arial Antenna to it.
Dish Network Switches
* Dish Network has following most popular Multiswitches in the market:
a)It uses the same as Bell ExpressVu: SW21, 4 way Multiswitch and SW44.
b)Multi-Dish Switch: DP21. Combines two satellites to one receiver. it works only for Dish Pro LNBS ONLY!
c)SW21X: This is the same as SW21 switch. By combining an SW21 switch with an SW21X, you can connect three satellites into a single receiver.
d)DP34 Switch. This switch hooks up 4 receivers to 3 Satellites. It works only with DP LNBS.
e)DPP44 Switch: This switch allows you to hook up 4 receiverss to 4 separate satellites. It works only with DP LNBS.
DirecTV Switches
* DirecTV has following as the most popular switches in the market:
a)It uses the same: 4 way multiswitch and SW44 from Dish Network.
b)DIRECTV 4x8 Multi-Switch for Dual and Triple LNB Dish. It allows the user to connect up to 8 receivers no matter if you have either a dual or triple LNB DirecTV dish.
c)S-SM21V two way Switch. This switch lets you join two satellites using one single cable. Same principle as the SW21 switch from BEV and Dishnetwork.
d)4X4 Multiswitch for Multi Satellite. This multiswitch is waterproof, has inputs for two dual lnbs and outputs for up to 4 receivers.
Free To Air Switches
* The following are the most popular FTA switches in the market:
a)DisEqC 2 way switch: This switch allows you to combine two satellites into one receiver.
b)DisEqC 4 way switch: This switch allows you to combine four satellites into one receiver.
c)3 In 4 Out Switch: This switch allows you to connect two satellite signals with air TV to four receivers.
d) 4 x 1 Multiswitch. Allows you to connect four satellites into one receiver.
