A Multiroom Receiver will control the entire house.
A Multiroom receiver provides the user to connect to all the rooms in the house. This receiver has UHF capabilities. This means, you can change channels anywhere in the house.
The following diagrams shows how an UHF Receiver is connected to four different locations. All you need is a four way splitter and the signal will feed all locations in the house. We have assumed that this receiver is connected to a central place in the house such as the utility room or furance room. This is where all the cables are located to the entire house.
How do you know if your receiver can be controled anywhere in the house? Your receiver must have a little antenna or connection by the name UHF. If it does, all you have to do is take your remote with you. And anywhere, you go, you will can change channels.
Most of the receivers with UHF capabilities are those with Personal Video Recording and High Definition receivers.
If you don't have that option, don't panic. All you have to do is buy an
UHF extender
at your local Electronic shop. These gadgets make any receiver work UHF capable.
