Dishnetwork Receivers: Standard Receivers, DVR Receivers & HDTV Receivers

Dishnetwork receivers are divided in three categories: Standard receivers, DVR receivers and HDTV receivers. Standard receivers are your standand receivers or entry level machines. The DVR receivers are capable to record, since they have a hard drive build in it. And the HDTV receivers allow you to watch High Definition Television. The following are the latest models of Dishnetwork receivers for this year:
Dishnetwork Standard Receivers
Dish 311: Even though, it is your standard receiver, it comes fully loaded with features. For instance, it comes with a TV guide that allows you to watch up to 48 hours of what’s on TV. Also, you get enjoy interactive features such as sport scores, games and weather forecast. Moreover, it has a search program option. It allows you search for your favorite show. All you have to do is type the name of the show you want and, the receiver will look for it.
Dish 322: This is a dual tuner receiver. What’s that mean? It means, you can watch two different shows at the same time. In fact, you can connect to two different television sets. This receiver comes with two remotes: Infrared (IR) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF). One for each TV set. Please be aware this receiver requires two lines coming from the dish. If you are using a Dish 500, you must use a DP or Dish Pro LNB style. It won’t work for Legacy Dual or Quad LNBS with the sw21 build in it.
Dishnetwork DVR Receivers
ViP622: This receiver is not only a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) but also a High Definition too. In fact, you can record up to 200 hours in Standard TV and 30 hours in HDTV. Also, this receiver comes with a Dolby Digital Output connection to provide home theater surround sound. Moreover, it has powerful TV guide for up 9 days! Last and not least, this receiver can be connect up to two TVs (same as Dish 322.)
DVR 625: This receiver is a dual tuner. It has the same options as the Vip622. The only difference is that you can record two shows (at the same time.) and watch (pre recorded show) simultaneously. This receiver is NOT high Definition. It has a digital hard drive for up to 100 hours recording capability. It still has the same capabilities of 9 days TV guide.
ViP722: This is the top of the line DVR HDTV Receiver. In fact, it can store up to 350 hours of standard-definition programming & up to 55 hours of high-definition programming or a combination of the two. TV1 display supports four resolutions: 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i SD content is up-converted HD and SD output is simultaneous.
Dishnetwork High Definition Receivers
ViP 211: This receiver is your entry level of High Definition. It comes with Dolby Digital Output. Also, it has TV guide for up to 48 hours. This receiver comes with Component Video and HDMI connections for HDTV. Be aware ViP 622 is also HDTV. We call this receiver DVR HDTV receiver. It is described in detail under Dishnetwork DVR receivers section.
ViP 222: Notice even the smallest details with the ViP222™ high-definition receiver and its two built-in tuners that let you enjoy vivid picture depth and dramatic color independently on one HDTV and one SDTV. It will also support Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
ViP622: This receiver is not only a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) but also a High Definition too. In fact, you can record up to 200 hours in Standard TV and 30 hours in HDTV. Also, this receiver comes with a Dolby Digital Output connection to provide home theater surround sound. Moreover, it has powerful TV guide for up 9 days! Please note all Dishnetwork receivers have caller ID capabilities. In order to use it, you must connect receiver to your telephone line and subscribe to caller ID.
