The most basic entry level satellite meter in the market is the Digisat II. It gives you a more accurate reading for signal strength than analog finders. It uses green LED lights to indicate the intensity of the signal you find.
This finder gives you the option to use either the receiver power or a battery pack. If you use the receiver power, all you need is to connect the meter between the
LNB
and receiver. But, if you don't want that, you use the battery pack. In this way, you can find the signal without having cables connected to the receiver.
It can also checks the quality of signal transmission in both
coaxial cable
and LNB power consumption. In fact, it is a great tool for not only to find a signal but also for
troubleshooting
purposes.
